Just found the site and am playing 4 games at the moment. Trying to figure out what strategy to use and when. Something kindof of odd has happened in one of the games and I was wondering how you guys would atttack the situation?
Game is 5596 and is a three player game, classic map, freestyle (no double) with flat rate for the cards. Round one we all pretty much played at the same time and then I was the last player on round two. As such I could not open round 3 until they made a play. Catch is, neither of them did so, so there was no round three. They both were able to play round four before I came back to the game so I was last in this round as well. Round 5 was another blank round as neither of them moved.
I don't know if this is just something that happens as both players may have been busy doing things and forgot their turns or perhaps it is a strategy to get to double up the normal number of armies at the start of your turn. This has given me a lot of time to figure out what to do as I had 24 hours (twice) to wait before making a move. I finally elected to be sitting here when the empty turn ended and spread myself super thin across the board taking everything I could. I dropped one player and left the other in fair shape. My thought was to try to take as many countries as I could so the armies deployed x2 woudl not be that large of an effect.
Is this a common thing to see in the games??
