if you're palying a two player game on this map, and both players only own missile launch, what happens? 'cause obviously you lose the missile launch at the start of your next go... so you'd die when taking your next go presumably.... but you'd also die if you didnt take your go (deadbeating). comments please ^^

You pretty much summed it up. The next player to go next dies, and if it's sequential, he's screwed anyway, since he'll be the first to deadbeat.

The moral: try not to be that guy.

EDIT: it's worth mentioning that it's almost breathtakingly difficult for this to happen without the active collusion of both players. Not saying it can't happen, but it's not super likely.

Actually, happened to me...or rather I caused it to happen in Game 2606203. I didn't realize at the time that one missile launch can't attack the other and I didn't have sufficient forces on my spy. I got the nuclear strike and bombarded everything but his launch. On his turn, the game ended.

I kinda felt bad about it...but not so bad that I didn't relish the win. :)

One player with only missile launch? Yeah, that happens, it's hilarious when the game log says "neutral killed player X".... but a scenario where BOTH guys have only missile launch? Like I said, you'd almost have to plan it with the other guy... and thinking about it, I'm not 100% sure it's possible, 'cause someone has to be able to attack the other guy to get him down to just the one terit, but he himself would need more than just missile launch in order to pull it off (otherwise he'd be the one getting killed by neutral). It's possible in freestyle, sure, two guys nuking each other at the same time, but probably not in sequential.

Oops. Missed the part about both having just missile launch. :)

I don't think it's possible for two players to be down to just the launch - you can't start a turn holding the launch, so that would assume you at least hold the warhead on the turn before. Right ?

But at any rate, freestyle is for caffeine addicts without kids, pets, or spouses. :)

haha, well it happened, without active collusion. ive never seen it before either (i won the game :P). we both deployed on warhead, took missile launch and bombarded each other... until we both only had the missile launch left... whoops ;)

Ah. Freestyle. So...what's the strategy then ? Last to deadbeat ? :)

Who would win if that happened to in a freestyle? Because they both would technically deadbeat at the same time.

In this game Game 8344811, and now both guys are left with just the warhead. Looks like 3 deadbeats and a tie?

nope, if they both go the miss 3 turns route orange wins, it's been tested, officially you deadbeat from the top down in terms of who joined, so cyan deadbeats just before orange

and if you play freestyle if you started the game you lose.
