thanks for that link, whnen i install it a box pops up asking if i want to save to disk, or open with...... what do i open it with?

i am so frustrated.

I really appreciate any help

when i look under tools for install user scripts, its not there but java script console is, when i click on that it showes

to clarify Jay's problem, he's stuck trying to install greasemonkey, not the script. his computer isn't recognizing the file extension or something. if he tries to save it first, he still gets the same problem, asking him what to open it with.

if you hav the program stuffit try opening it with that it can recognize and expand the file and if stuffit doesnt work try adobe acrobat

how would opening the install file in adobe prompt his computer to start installing it?

ok, just threw me off mentioning the java script console!

save the file to disk. In firefox click File, Open File and point it to the .xpi file you just downloaded.

thanks, i'll give it a try if i get my laptop back
someone broke into my place yesterday and stole it, they caught the guy, but he didn't have it with him, hopiing it turns up soon.

please don't delete this thread so i can access it asap
