I read The Art of War by Sun Tzu and some of my favorite advice was:
1. If it is not advantageous to attack, then don't.
2. If it is not advantageous to retreat, then don't.
3. In battle, there are not more than two methods
of attack--the direct and the indirect; yet these two
in combination give rise to an endless series of maneuvers.
