cashing in cards

As in Risk, can in CC when one takes out an opponent and obtains their cards can one cash those cards immediately provided there is a match?

I know this may seem like a dumb question, but I am brand new to CC, in fact right now in my first game.

Anyone please respond.

If your newly acquired cards put you over the 5 limit max, then you can cash until you get below 5, or cash in as many sets as you have created.

Instructions Page, Gameplay Notes wrote:There are no wild cards. You cannot accumulate more than 5 cards, therefore there may be a mid-turn cashing in of sets after eliminating an opponent.

I think there is a flaw with the game play in that respect though. According to the rules of risk, when you have 5 cards or more you can cash a set. But you shouldn't be able to cash another unless you still have over 5 cards.

Usually when people have 7 cards they get to cash two sets at once but I don't think that should be allowed. I just never brought it up before because I think it benefits my playing style to keep it the way it is :P

It's been brought up before in the suggestions area. Go talk about it there.

Edit: Under 1999 Rule Set. We currently use the 1975.

I figured it had been brought up, just never saw it (and didn't search :?). But like I said, I don't really care either way. I just never new about the different rule sets. As long as everyone is clear what the rules are on here I think its fine.
