Lord......I thought 21 against 5 and not taking it was bad. Mind you i've just had 14 against 12 and advanced 11 in so it does swing in roundabouts. Chin up old son.

if you calculate the probablity of that happeningh then think how many dice rolls there have been in over 1.5 million games these things will happen

12v1 - I assume you mean 11 attacking armies? - lose 0.0015% of the time.
So this is once every 66 thousand times this attack is attempted.
I guess this attack happens many thousands of times a day on CC, so it's actually not that unlikely to occur once or twice around the place.
The important thing to remember is that "random" does not equal "average".

It can be brutal. I think there should be some sort of 'overwhelming strength' bonus or something. I mean, how many times outside of Hollywood does one guy take down 20?
Maybe if you have > 5 times the armies of the defending territory, you get to roll 4 dice, or get +1 to your highest roll, or something. Many of the real-world risk variants include such bonuses, usually if you have a 'commander' in the attacking territory, or something. An OVERWHELMING difference in the size of one side could grant the same advantage. It can be extremely frustrating to outplay your opponent, only to lose to dice results so far outside the standard deviation as to be mind-boggling.
