there use to be 50 threads to a page now 25(i think). why, it is a ball ache when veiwing pages since last visit and 13 come up. with 6, it was ok, because all 6 page numbers would appear at the bottom. now it is the 1st 3 and last 3. so when you want pages 6-9 you have to piss about.

it was done to put less stress on the server.

Do you know if it will change?

what because the server has been a pain in the arse lately.

everything is smaller now - only 10 posts per page. In some ways it's nicer because everything is more manageable but I see your point - it's already bad enough in the Social Lounge having to wade through 5 or more pages to see where you were in the thread last

With all the problems with the DB server recently I've dropped the thread view from 50 to 25 and the post view from 15 to 10 I think.

This should give us some extra overhead on the server to remove some of the pain-in-the-arse errors that have been popping up until we can get more power into the machines or more machines into the system.

Once we're back up to capacity I'll put everything back to where it was.
