Really, I think negative feedback is legit to get in a game like this when you call for an alliance 3 turns into the game because you were irked by some game chat comments, no?

game number?

Ha.

No, because you'll go to the game, see where I made a couple comments about game play, then claim the alliance was justified because I made 1 comment.

Disregard all that.

Is an alliance in a no cards circus max game really a reasonable tactic, especially 2-3 turns into the game....ESPECIALLY, when you consider that after that 1 player was booted out of the game by a 5 player alliance, they haven't attacked each other in over 2 months?

Haha, that's awesome. Maybe next time you'll play the game instead of trying to get everyone else to do things for you.

Remember if you leave negative feedback, you have to link to the game, so everyone can see that they were completely justified in taking you out. It's kind of a plus. Especially when it's the only negative on the page.

Good players don't need alliances 8)

To be honest that game isn't really about alliances it's about petty drama over nothing.

that is just stupid... but thank god this thread is so chock-full-o conquer club goodness, it won't be sent off to die in another forum... and maybe you should play your own game instead of playing dictator to try and make others help you attain your goals.-0

you should just let it go. whatever you say about them, it will be removed as soon as a mod reads it... kind of like my brilliant thread that was merged and left to die in another forum earlier in the day... sigh...-0

You know, this is one of the most ill conceived, over used lines that ANYONE on this site ever tries to use.

I can be 10 territories away from another players bonus that is growing really large in a 2.0 game, ask the other board players to consider not being retarded monkeys and to think about breaking a bonus, and they'll reply back like Pavlovs dogs

WHY DON'T YOU BREAK THEIR BONUS?!!!!

before ever looking at the map.

And there is always a pretty direct correlation with rank/score.

I get into a game with people that know how to play, and I dont have to say anything about their play.

You get into a game with a few people that still don't know the basic strategies and strength assessment, you try and point this out to them, you get labeled a whiner and a dictator and they'll leave you negative feedback.

It's just nuts the people on this site.

tell me about it! you should see the abusive chat this guy left
in a game i was checking out!!

http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=1225515

now THAT is a prime example of CC Krazy!! oh wait, isn't that the
game you are in that someone else had to post, because you didn't
want anyone to READ THE GAME CHAT, you just wanted everyone to
agree with your assesment of the situation? you should find an online
site that is like, http://www.tiny_tyrants.com or something... just sad...-0

Perhaps you should have a good look at yourself in this - you have a high level of negative feedback - I'm sure your intentions are good but the fact is it seems quite a few players find playing with you to be a bad experience.

So instead of worrying about what other players do all the time you should think about things you can control - maybe stop yourself before you write something that another player could take offence at, or try to write it in a more diplomatic manner.

And instead of telling players how you think they should play, take note of the sorts of tactics they use and try to use it to your advantage...

^ Dude, are you dense? Like, literally, do you process information in your skull correctly? I already admitted that you would side with the other people for that game. I modified the question to a more generic one and hoped to see the discussion limited to that. But no, instead, you spend several posts berating me for my chattiness in a game, completely oblivious to the fact that you are doing the exact same thing in this forum. Durrrr. The difference between me and everyone that leaves me negative feedback is, it doesn't effect me one bit. I don't go into a shell and cry and come out when the game is over only to leave people negative feedback.

I mean damn dude, if a comment like this
hey you num nuts...how about one of you stacking armies attacking red...he is about to have 12 so he'll be getting 4 per turn

are so offensive and abusive to you, then you probably need a heavy dose of reality. I'd suggest stepping away from the PC and going to a bar or something. Maybe volunteer at some soup kitchens.

Imagine this. You've played 100s of CC games and your score never goes up. A guy with a much higher rank than you comes to the board, sees the dumb moves you are making, and comments on them. You get defensive, because, after all, he is probably right, and it is never fun admitting you are wrong. You'll argue with him in the game chat about how he should play his own game, as if him commenting about your shitty strategy is somehow not playing his own game. You'll also try to claim he is whining when he points out you should break a stronger players bonus. You'll also say he should do the work, possibly oblivious to the fact that he has been ganged up on by multiple other noobs and strategic idiots that see his rank and go after him or some weak bonus he might be holding. He'll go on to point out how your bad strategy is going to play out, and most of the time, he is right. And most often, it will end up with you losing yet another game, and him making sure to remind you of it after the game is over. This should be some sort of evidence to you that hmmm, that guy did know what he is talking about. But know, you are a thick headed imbecile that just got his e-pride hurt by some anonymous soul from across the world, so you do the only thing you can do at his point which is to leave negative feedback.

I don't care about my negative feedback. Nearly half of my 14 negatives came in situations exactly like I described. Do you think I care if an imbecile like this puts me on his ignore list? Do you? I learned some strategy about this game the exact same way, by getting lambasted by people with higher ranks...folks that pointed out, hey, it's escalating, stop pissing your armies away trying to get Oceania, and other similar criticisms. I'm still learning the game. I don't whine and cry and complain if someone gives constructive criticism.

So instead of worrying about what other players do all the time you should think about things you can control - maybe stop yourself before you write something that another player could take offence at, or try to write it in a more diplomatic manner.

It's a website with a bunch of anonymous people that doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things. I don't have time for people with thin skin.

And instead of telling players how you think they should play, take note of the sorts of tactics they use and try to use it to your advantage...

The only strategy that can overcome noobs suiciding you is to hope the dice and cards give you just a little bit more help than they usually do.

actually, go look at any of my games, and i'm very chatty. but i don't try to DIRECT the other players and i surely don't BERATE the other players. and as is pointed out by your neg feedbacks, this is not the only time you have done this.-0

Let's see if I get this right.

State409c, being a relatively experienced player (lieutenant (1928 points, almost captain) with 443 games under his belt) who's "still learning the game" (his own words, very positive I think, it's always good to be willing to learn) is an outspoken person who will tell the others when he thinks they're messing up. So far so good, I've also been quite direct in gamechat a few times when I thought one or more other players were being moronic.

Now for the evaluation: State, while you seem to know how to play the game it is clear from your feedback and the chat in the game that you do not know how to play your opponents. In short, you're being too aggressive.
In the long version: telling people what to do is a good way to immediately make them dislike you and make them more prone to go for you, suggest that it might be a good idea to do such-and-such instead. Just point it out if someone is growing strong, don't say that they should attack him because he's getting the largest bonus. Or maybe try out the reverse strategy, encourage them to let you keep a high bonus as well to balance out the other player, it's worked for me the few times I've tried it. Using insults is also not a good idea, even mild ones like "numbnuts", the moment you insult them you've usually lost, unless you're playing with like-minded people who take it humorously and respond in the same manner and expect you to to take it the same way. Be flexible in your manner, if it's a flame war, get out your flamethrower and join the fray, if it's a victorian tea party, keep your calm and be the politest of them.

A solid strategy and understanding of the way the game works will take you a long way, knowing how to make the others work for you will take you even further, and if you manage to make them do your work for you without even noticing it only the dice gods will be able to stop you. I'm trying to perfect the second phase, you might want to start working on it as well.
