On Might, it is possible for a few of the castles, such as Aoria. But most of the castles have villages 2 spaces away from them, making it hard to figure out who is where.
On Magic, I dont think it is possible. Every vill is 2 away from a Castle.
You could try counting resource pair bonuses, but that wouldn't help because you cant tell the difference between resource pairs and villages under the fog.
