Any known cheaters using this method?

Does anyone know if someone has been busted for creating multiple accounts, and setting up dozens of two person games, causing one account to lose on purpose so the other can aqcuire some quick easy points. This would only work til the losing account was virtually depleted of points, but it wouldn't stop someone from creating another account, and draining it of points also.

Were you planning on doing it?

No. I enjoy CC for the competitiveness, not the points. I care about my point total, but I also take pride in my points, and cheating to get them wouldn't give me very much pride. I'm just wondering to see if there are any know cases of this type of abuse. When two person games were first discussed as a possibility, I inquired about this flaw, but at the time no one paid attention. Now that two person games have been around a while, I was wondering if anyone had used it to cheat for points

If that's true, does that mean the first page of the scoreboard is littered with cheaters who are there primarily due to cheating.

No, it means that those idiots are quickly caught and banned for using such an obvious use of multi's.

If someone is cheating by playing no one but themselves, than who catches them in the act? Are there mods who monitor two person games to see if the same accounts are always playing each other?

If somebody has gotten to the top of the scoreboard and nobody has ever played them, don't you think that would raise some red flags? They also do routine IP scans. The people who get reported aren't the only ones busted for multi's...

no....
JR specializes in "he has a high score, so he must be cheating" multi busting.

As you would probably need to put in quite a bit of work and/or shell out several times for several premiums in order to get a high score which would probably get reset as soon as it was noticed... I'd rather just play enough 2 player games to get to 2K.

surely the same ip address might be used if two people are using the same computer? (and they may well play games against eachother as well - being friends/family members)

is there a way to play with my roommate (same IP) but different computers, and not be flagged as a cheater?
He'd be signing up with a freemeium for now.

If they are playing against 'no-one'... that doesn't necessarily mean that no one is watching...

my wife and I use the same PC, but most CC regulars know us to be two different people. We rarely play in the same game together, so it's never been a problem for us.
