Playing for partner???

Got a question for you all. I'm in a doubles game, and my partner is up, but he's got about 2 hours left before it's a missed turn. I've covered before for him when he was away, but i wasn't in any of his games then. If it looks like he's not going to show up in time, is it ok for me to play his turn? It almost seems like I shouldn't, but i'm not sure. What do you wise individuals think? If it helps, if he misses the turn, we're going to lose, if his turn is played the match stays about even at this time.
Thanks in advance.

If you did it against me as long as you had posted it in chat and it was a genuine one off then I wouldn't mind. If you are going to do it then definitely say so. You don't want any accusations of multi etc.

yeah i figured if it gets down to like 30 minutes, i'd post that i was takeing his turn for him. I already pm'd him and didn't hear anything back. but i figured as long as everyone knows it's me doing it and why, that's better than just a missed turn. thanks for the input

I also think it depends on who the person is doing it... I know you, peanutsdad, and would trust you without worry. Other people, not so much.
