some would say that if they dont like alliances they shouldnt play risk, and that they are practically cheating
he doesnt handle these very well at all, but there is nothing wrong against putting teams that synchronize on his ignore list simply because he doesnt like that kind of play....
many put him on their ignore list, because they dont like his in your face, adversarial chat that is well... possible to see from time to time
Its very easy to target xtra here, because he is very adversarial when he wants to be... but arguing the point on the subject itself.... he isnt wrong or right. He prefers not to play that way. If he could simply say.. guys, just so you know, i dont play teams that synchronize, so this will be the last one... that would have been the end of it... but...that doesnt usually happen unfortunately
I have no problem with players that synchronize... ill counter with whatever i have to to win, but it doesnt bother me that he refuses to play those players out of choice, anymore than it bothers me who anyone has on their ignore list... even if im on it, i could care less, because id much rather not be in a game with someone that doesnt want me in there.
The same argument has been made over and over... the double turn was the other problem people had with freestyle, and i hated it myself, so i played very few freestyle games. But if someone used it on me, id be sure to use it back. Some people thought it was fair game, others didnt... but you cant blame those that hate double turns for ignoring those that use it...
Im not defending xtra here, because he really is over the top in the chat. The only point here is that its his right to play who he wants, as is all of our rights. As i suggested in that game several times, you have to let it drop, and just play it out. You cant beat him at this, because he does not care in any way what you, me, or anyone has to say. He is however very good at the game, and he chooses tough games to play, so i join many of them, and usually do very well, depending upon the third recruit. He never picks his team, and lets almost anyone join him. Its a tough way to win as much as he usually does. In any case, argue it all you want, but right or wrong just doesn't matter.
The only winning move is not to play.
Trust me.
