If you start a game. And lower or much lower ranks join, and then you quit, You are a rankist. And I know the excuses: I won't get many points, I don't want to lose my points to a cook. WWWWAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

Yes I do drop games that lower ranks join, why? Becasue there is nothing more frustrating that losing becasue someone else made an stupid move. Im here to enjoy myself and if that means id rather play with BETTER players then so be it . . .

Well I hope you never lose 500pts. So you don't have to play the lower class. I'm a private1stcl. now. I'm an alright player and getting better. So a low rank dosen't necessarily mean a bad player.

I'm down 1100 points since October-ish.
So quit bitching.

I am also a "rankist" as you say, but that's because I find that people with a higher rank are much friendlier, and have better skills, and therefore are much more fun to play with.

i never ever dropped a game because a lower rank joined. but that doesn't mean i wouldn't do it.

i guess it depends. if i make a 6p game and a cook or a ? joins after me i first look at his feedback (if any) and his past games (if any) and then decide if i drop it or not.

as i said i never did but if for example i see in the feedback that he's a suicider or that he does all kinds of stupid things then i'd probably drop it.

i don't care too much about the points at stake but i do care about my fun. and devising a great strategy and advancing the game with sound tactics only to have a ? crash all his troops on you then deadbeat kinda spoils my day.

thats kind of the point. Low rank doesnt mean bad player, it could mean a really good player which means an increased chance of losing 50-100 points with the possibility of winning 5-10. If players dont feel its fun playing those kinds of games, it is their right to drop. This conversation has been made over and over, and it always comes down to the best thing to do is focus on your games, and not what other people play.

There's thousands of other players... let them play what they will.

no.

I have dropped a game once when a PFC joined but that was honestly because I looked at the settings and realised I wanted seq, not FS.

I can not allow that...

On Topic: I am not a Rankist. I play almost exclusively public games and was almost up to 2500 points before my current points slide.

I understand dropping a game because of neg feedback. I got a player on my ignore list, I haven't played him based on feedback. And Im a nice person to play with. Just look at my feedback.

To the OP, I'm not that kind of rankist. But MY PRECIOUS POINTS ARE MINE, MINE, MINE! And yes, I love my shiny lieutenant icon.

im not a rankist in that i dnt drop games based on points...

though if someone joins with crap feedback or is a known badplayer i will drop it. i play alot of open dubs, so i won join unless they have played a few dubs games.
but i wont drop because of a points loss, its a game, ill get frustrated at them but ill get those points back eventually
