Should we change what happens in a player misses a turn?

Yes... I've missed a turn or two... but never more than one in a game.

The idea that some people use this as a "strategy" is annoying to me.

People compare CC to Risk in real life... you can't miss a turn in Risk.

Shit... if you were playing me... sitting across the table... and just waited 24hrs and refused to roll the friggin dice...

Well you'd get a beating. ;)

If I'm gonna go away or be away from the game... I understand missing a turn. Give warning. If you know you're going away... don't start new games!!!

So... should the policy be changed?

I'm still relatively new here.. but wanted to get some old-timer thoughts!

After seeing 14 pages of posts on the link provided by Wicked... I'm surprised more people aren't voting for # 2.

I am still a relative newbie to the game. After being in a few games where people have missed turns and observing how long that makes the game drag, I think it would be cool to give people the option to "quit" a game if they know they will miss too many turns. Quitting would still lose them points , but other players would not have to wait essentially three days worth of time for the player to be skipped.

^^^^ they just did what ??

I like #3 and #5.

I thought I would like the speed games, but too many people are missing their 1st turn and doubling up their 1st drop.....in some cases it gives them the game.
It is an easy way to cheat so I just don't bother with the speed games much.

too bad, really

This shouldn't happen anymore, because the extra armies are for defense only. Get with the times and read the latest anouncement!
