Anybody got anything to say on 'em? Anybody specialize in them? I'm trying to become really good at assassin games, since nobody else seems to play them often.

If you're playing a doodle earth assassin freestyle speed game...i use the strategy of just go for your target. Sometimes i'll actually use a little strategy though, maybe look and see if someone might attack my guy before i attack.

Assassin games are truly different. It highly depends on who is playing and how experienced they are in this kind of game and if players drop out.

Ideally you should try to go for your target tough if you can guess other player's target and they are close in getting them, there is no point for you to have a go at your own target. It makes more sense to stop your opponent winning. This makes assassin a bit of a random game. It is difficult to go eliminating players because you could be removing somebody else's target leading to his victory.

Hence the game is slow to develop and quick to finish. Suddenly you realise that the game is over and you have lost, despite your relative strength and careful planning.

I guess some people like it, but I don't expect it to satisfy every taste. You dont get the same satisfying feeling as the last surviving player in a classic game.

I've never played one. So what happens if your target deadbeats? Does "neutral" become your target?

I have been watching the World Lader Assassin tourney and I have noticed a strategy that may work....

If you can convince your target that you are trying to protect them they will be in an easy position for you to strike...

Not quite sure how to do this yet and the tourney is a bad example as many players are trying to survive to the next round as opposed to trying to kill their target but this may work...

Any thoughts?

keep in mind I'm playing my first assassin game I'm only an observer

In the past several months about 75% of my games have been Assassin. I like the game.

I like playing assassin no cards adjacent. Slow moving game, but the difficulty in getting bonuses and mobility means that you have to be careful to shadow your target and be ready to strike with sufficient force at the opportune moment, else the chance slips away - pretty much like a real assassination.

One of the closest I've ever had was probably this game.
