Trouble verifying account today

My brothers and I have been trying to create and log into accounts yesterday and today. Today we got 'Page Can't Display' errors mentioning maintenence issues. Eventually they passed and we were able to log in. Then my other brother just tried creating an account and he said the verification link in his email doesn't work.

When will the maintenence be done, or what other help can you give?

Thanks,
Poocho :)

CC is down all the time, that is my best guess. OR, maybe they think your a multi. mwahaha.

I actually am kinda worried about that. One of my brothers is visiting and therefore using the same computer I am. That means we have to log in and out of our respective accounts after each of our turns in order to play. Depending on just how they monitor things, that could easily look like I'm using two accounts and just switching between them to play.

I guess we'll see.

Just my thoughts,

If you were accused a multi, chances are you would have received an email from one of the mods declaring you such. (I say chances are because they don't have too, but it is usually their policy that they do) However, since your kinda worried that you might be declared a multi, I'm assuming you haven't received such a letter. Chances are either the site is down, or your computer or modem isn't reading properly all the running scripts of this site. You may wish to go to another computer (such as at work, or a library) to see if you have the same problems there. Hope this helps.

By the way, just for kicks, what is your brother's screen name?

P.S. I would also suggest that you three brothers go your seperate ways and play some different games.

Yes that will look suspicious. How long is your brother visiting?

Wicked,

I have suggested above that the brothers should play it safe, go thier separete ways and play different games. If the brothers' screen names are what I think they are, they all have to some extents some names related to dogs (IE: Poocho, top dog, and slydog3333). In one of the games, (see http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=1332087) they use personal expressions such as "sorry danny" I'm just suggesting because I'm afraid they might sooner of later, be accused of multis.

Yours truly

Playing in different games won't make them look any less suspicious, as a lot of multis do this to get around the game limit. Best way to avoid suspicion altogether is either upgrade the accounts to premium, or wait until they go home to play.

You're right, Decoulombe: Top Dog and slydog3333 are my two brothers. Top Dog is currently visiting me, but only through this coming Sunday evening. So you'll often see my and his turns ocurring very close together (we log out of our own account and then log into the other). Once he goes back home I'm sure it'll be a lot more sporadic.

However, slydog lives in another state with a separate IP addy and work schedule, so his turns are rarely in sync with ours. I doubt they'll do anything against him (unless they judge him to be guilty by association).

Is there any way to convince the mods to hold their banhammers until at least Sunday, when they'll see we're using separate accounts?

Also, I'm not aware of any, but are there rules against playing games with real-life friends (assuming you don't have secret alliances with them)?

Oh, and one more thing, slydog's connection problems seemed to resolve themselves and he hasn't reported to us any more of them.

Thanks again!

Just my thoughts,
Poocho :)

Another idea but only if you have $25 dollars and a Paypal or credit card account, you can upgrade to premium and as wicked said will avoid most suspicion.

Sure. That's why I was asking. Have fun killing each other (err, on here, not IRL!)

A Premium account certainly has its attraction, but so does being able to pay my rent, electricity bill, phone bill, Internet bill, gas expenses, etc. :) At this point I don't think it would be wise for me to dedicate any more money to luxuries.

You know, it would be nice though if they had another level between basic and Premium that wouldn't cost as much. Maybe one for $10 that would allow you up to 15 games or whatever and then Private and Speed games after you achieve a certain rank. But I'm sure this is no new idea....

In the FAQ it says "it is fine to play on the same computer, our multi-hunters are pretty good at depicting roommates verses multis."

If we were multis why would we use personal expressions like "sorry Danny".

leave the poor innocent lads alone to play risk and write poetry by themselves! better for all the innocent men to walk free, along with the occasional criminal, than for all the criminals to go to jail along with the occasional good guy, dont you think?
