Two accounts from the same PC

I understand the no multi account poilcy, but can I have two accounts from the same computer as my son wants to play the game also. I only have one PC, and do not want to be banned prior to setting up another account. What can I do, if anything?

Basically what you just did, tell people and especially the mods so they know. And if it starts looking like one of you is favouring the other you will probably be banned from playing in the same games.

And the question remains the same

I have just the same problem. My brother want´s to start playing CC, but I wont let him cause of the risk for being banned or punished in some way.

Is there no risk(!) as long as we are not playing in the same game, even tough we are playing on the same computer and the same connection? Should I mail any mod before I let him start an account? If yes, who should I mail?

I dunno. haha. But trust me its completely fine, you can play team games, avoid freetyle, and avoid singles.

Why should I trust you if you don´t know?

Is there anyone who knows for sure how it works?

as long as you are always on the same team, never play singles together except 1v1 and make sure that no one of you wins the majority of those 1v1's you probably be good!

ok thanks. But the rules states: "Multiple accounts are discovered by routine scans". If we are caught in a routine scan with playing on the same IP, what happends then?

That's why you have to tell people beforehand so you don't get caught in one of those scans.

absolutely...

team games are the safest, not to say no one wont have problems with it, because some will...

you have to make your own turns and vice versa

open standard games are perfectly legal, but not recommended because you have to work so hard insuring it doesnt look like cheating, that its hard to win. It will be easier to just set up private games... there are plenty of father son teams on here, and I bet theyd love to play actually... in fact my dad plays on here too, but we kind of avoid each other in here for the most part... two different styles.....i like to win

thats really it. you could get busted in a routine random ip search, but as long as you two are separate people, and its obvious, its usually resolved quickly... if it happens, just act calmly. the hunters have a lot of work, and mistakes do happen...

have fun :D

Thanks for all the answers! I have mailed sully800 and King Achilles and I also have sent a ticket to general@conquerclub.com. If I´ll get a positive answer from them I can probably let him start an account. Thanks again! :D

This was a quote that I took from another recent forum regarding similar issues. True, this would probably be the best answer, but only if you have a spare $25 to drop.

Also, it is a good idea, as you have done to inform the mods and the hunters. Its good to play together, but its also good to play different games and different kinds of games. Also note the guidelines below

The general guidelines wrote:Can more than one person play from the same computer?
The short answer is yes. Our Multi Hunters are pretty good at distinguishing roommates & family members from people with multiple accounts. However, some members prefer playing only in team games with people from the same computer to avoid accusations of cheating.
