How does bonus army escalation work?

eg. Castle+Village = 5+1 extra army (plus territory bonus of course).... so is Castle+2 Villages = 5+2 extra armies? Also, what about Castle+Village+Resource pair? should this = 5+1+2?

does not seem to be working as I expect???

hmmm, that's odd then because I am in an Age of Might game right now.....
I have 1 castle, 1 village, and 2 resource pairs, plus some misc territories. But I am only getting 9 armies per round (3 for territories, 5 for Castle, 1 for Castle+Village)..... should I not also be getting at least 2 more for Castle+resource pair?

Do you need to have another village to get benefit from more than 1 resource pair? What do I need to do to maximize my bonus armies in this situation?

Thanks,
MK

Your game is fog so I can't see what is happening to you. That makes this a little difficult.

If you really have 2 resource pairs and a village you should be getting

3 for territory
5 for castle
1 for castle + village
1 for village + resource pair
1 for village + other resource pair
2 for castle + resource pair
2 for castle + other resource pair

So 15 I think. But I don't know how you could have 2 resource pairs already so i'm thinking you may be misunderstanding what counts as a resource pair.
