has anyone else had VERY bad luck in the last couple a weeks? I just can't seem to win lately and have dropped over 400 points!!! anyone else having this problem??/

shit happens.

i dropped 300 points in 1 day then gained 400.

actually it wasn't even a whole day just a few hours. fell to 1900 and then got up to 2300

the point is don't worry keep going and you'll be fine

had swords 2 weeks ago am down to sargent and should be rookie by christmas and LT by new years

My dice have been awful lately and it has slowed the growth of my points it took 200 games to get 300 points.

The eb and flow is how it goes, hang in there and it will all turn around.
I started a recent unlimited forts game with no territories connected
and the freakin' "random dice" have been little help.

As DiM so plainly pointed out shit happens, but eventually
good shit happens too.

Usually when I am royally screwed in one game another makes up for it.

you win some and you lose some its how the game goes

its one thing to complain about luck but another entirely to blame it on something that you know isnt true... like the randomness of the dice

Ahhh lady luck.

People play CC differently than they play board games. Because of the initial distribution this game is very different than what most are used to and requires a different kind of strategy.

Then, because we tend to play a lot more games here than we do in real life, people notice their own lacking (of luck) and proceed to blame it on the dice.

Really...when was the last time you played several hundred rounds on a board in a year?

But yes, with the initial deployment here, there is perhaps a bit more luck involved in the early game but it dwindles in importance fast later in the game.

Good luck getting your points back. I gave up on them long ago and play just for fun now. (that;s me trying to cover the fact that I'm a crap player...but shhhhh)

you STILL havent played any games....

it just seems every game (almost every, i have won two recently) i have horrible starts...unlimited fortifications with no two regions boardering...in every sequen 1vs1 game i always go second (12 times and still counting)...

Really I have seen people with great starts get cocky and lose. The start is what you make of it.
