New Rule?

I tried finding it in the suggestions forum as it would start there, but couldn't find much. but anyway.
I just noticed the guy that deadbeated gave his cards to his partner, this has never been before.
Will they also get cards getting them over 5 cards to start their turn?

24. What happens to the armies and cards of a player that is kicked out for missing too many turns?
After someone is kicked out of a game for missing too many turns their armies become neutral and their cards are returned to the deck.
(from FAQ) please update it if you changed the rule

The rules are quite clear on this.
Here is a copy of the section from the Instructions tab.
'When a player is auto-kicked in a team game, the first surviving teammate inherits the armies and cards.'
