Are points given at the end of a game soley on rank vs rank or is it points vs points?

#34 Conquer Club players are initially given a score of 1000. At the end of each game, the winner takes points away from each loser. The points to be awarded are* calculated as (loser's score / winner's score) * 20, up to a maximum of 100 points from each opponent.

Ok I think im being misunderstood so Ill make an example.
Team 1
Captain 2100 points
Cook 880
Team 2
Sarge 1550
Lieutenant 1850
What I am trying to find out is if the point total for each team is added up then divided in some way to figure out how many points the winner gets/ loser loses or is it based only on rank.
Does a Captain with 2300 points who loses to a cook with 880 points lose more points than a Captain with 2000 points?

Yes, the total points of teams are added up when calculating wins and losses.

From the instructions:
Conquer Club players are initially given a score of 1000. At the end of each game, the winner takes points away from each loser. The points to be awarded is calculated as (loser's score / winner's score) * 20, up to a maximum of 100 points from each opponent.
in a team game, it would be (loser teams added points)/(winner's team added points) times 20.

ok so team 1 has total points of 6000 team 2 has total points of 4000
6000 times 20 = 12000 4000 times 20 =80000
Umm something isnt making sense.....

Using your example,
If Team 1 loses...
{(2100+880) / (1550+1850)} * 20 = 17 points are won by everyone on the winning team and 17 points are lost by everyone on the losing team

6000/4000 x 20 = 30 points
(assuming team 6000 loses)
