gaining armies

here is my question. At the end of round 5, I own all of a continent. However, in the middle of the next round, during freeplay mode, another player invades the continent and takes one of my countries.
So, when I log in to play, I do not get the bonus for owning the whole continent?
Shouldn't army bonuses or recruitment or whatever be tabulated at the end of the round, and not when you begin your next turn.
Also, is this the same situation during "sequencial" games?

No, you only get the continent bonuses for what you hold at the beginning of the new round. The point of this game is defense as much as it is offense. You have to be able to protect what you have as well as take more.
And I think you'll have to be a bit more specific about your sequential question.

Sequential works the same way - basically you have to own the entire continent when you hit 'Begin turn'...same as the way the board game works...however with sequential everyone takes their turn in order, so you have a little more control over predicting what could possibly knock against your defenses before you take your next turn.

The game is in a freeplay mode. I was asking if the same situation holds true in sequential turn play as well. But I am confused at your answer, irregardless....
Say, at the end of round 5, and therefore the beginning of round 6 I did own the whole continent, but then the first player to play in round 6 takes one of my continents. So then when I click "begin turn," the game is calculating my army recruitment by what the board looks like at that exact point, and not when the round started. So instead of getting like 8 armies for owning the continent, then I only get 3.

When you click "begin turn" that's when the round starts for you. So, when your round starts, that's when the armies are calculated. It's all based on what is going on at the beginning of your turn.
And "irregardless" isn't a word. *ducks*
