If one player is obviously going to cream the lot of us,it is it against the rules to suggest in "Game Chat" that we temporarily stop pounding on each other and gang up on him?
When playing the board game we used to do that!

No, alliances are not against the rules unless they're done in secret. As long as you announce everything in game chat, you're good.
