If a player has a continent - say africa (and should get 3 armies for the continent plus say 4 for his units)...but misses a turn. Next turn, africa is broken into by another player. would he get 8 armies (4 x 2) or 11 armies (8 plus the bonus 3)
thanks

That's why it's often a good idea to break their continents if they miss a turn.

He would get 11
4 for his territories for each round, plus 3 for africa, for the first round

This guys dumb. You would get the 8. Unless they took enough territorys from you that you would only get 3 for your territory then all in all you would get 6. Basiccly you get whatever bonus you should get on that turn x2

Yep, I'm dumb.
I just went and read the rules:
at the start of your turn you get
[(territories รท 3, minimum of 3) + continent bonus] x missed turns multiplier + set bonus
I guess I'll have to change my strategy with players who miss turns.
