Freestyle Question

Typically I avoid Freestyle games - some experiences I have had are unsavory - by occasionally I do not check standard when I am looking for games, and end up in a Freestyle -

My quest is this - when your opponent is attacking a particular country - while you are placing in that country - do you lose your men? It seems to have happened to me more than once -where I was attempting to place men in a country that was being attacked - and they just disappeared.

they wont dissapear, they got destroyed in the attack. if your opponent manages to conquer it b4 you can place itll just say illegal deployement. if you SOMEHOW do it at the EXACT (to the billionth or so) second i dunno what would happen, prolly become both of your territories or something

does placing in a country being attacked - give you more of a chance to lose them. I have seen some pretty weird things - such as opponent attacking 3 with 5 - while I am adding 3, and all are gone - and the opponent loses none. It seems to happen if I am adding to a country that happens to be being attacked.

No, the same maths apply, sometimes it looks weird though

in 99% of the case of the 5vs3 and you deploying 3 and you lose then the enemy will kill 2 before you deploy then u deploy so 5vs4 and the 5 just gets perfect rolls
