The first giveaway is the use of a common ip.

The next level is looking at the common games. If two players play exclusively three-player games, always play together, and always kick the third player off the board and split the wins, it's pretty obvious they are multi's.

Most multis are pretty dumb. They will even create names in a series, i.e multi1, multi2, multi3.

They will also create their multis all on the same day.

Even the smartest of multis who use multiple ips, mix up their join dates and use varied names eventually have to join a series of games together in order to gain benefit from their cheat. Ultimately this will expose them unless they sprinkle their common games over along period of time. I they take that approach though, they have to work very hard and wait a long time to realize any benefit. They'd be better off to study the game and improve their skill.

This site makes it difficult for cheats. The effort is appreciated, very much.

Nobody really knows but the mods. I'm too lazy to look up the countless threads about the same topic, but this comes up quite often. Every time they say that it's a lot more indepth than the IP address and common games...Just don't cheat, and you won't have to worry about how they bust multis

Internet wormz! We send them out into each of your harddrives the day you register on the site. If you login to the site within 5 minutes of a different name, the worms crawl into your hand through your mouse and enter your brain. From there we have a good view of everything you can see, and we will know for sure if you are a multi or not.

Amusingly - I bet that all the people that create threads like these... are trying to work out how to be multi's?!

He is trying to work out how they caught him, most likely.

And I already know how to be a multi. You can't be, there is no hope for you, you will get caught in the end

Yep. He was busted with Bellhop by wicked on 2007-09-05, 3 days after creating the multi.

All you need to worry about wrestler is playing honestly. Then it doesn't really matter how we catch the multis, right?

The only way to cheat without getting caught would only be cheating lack out of his 20 bucks. You could start various accounts from various networks and email addresses. If you never played them against each other you could carry on for a long time.

Most people would screw up eventually and log in the wrong account and be busted. Just pay the $20 and play all you want instead.

Of course people doing that would always log in from only one ip. I bet most of us log in from many ip's (who can resist sneaking a turn from work? I can't). I've logged in from at least five ip's that I can think of right now . . . all that multi potential wasted

I'd better shut up before this becomes too much a tutorial.

I paid Robinette to build me a multi-safe patch.

This is the crown jewel of her CC patches. It includes: the Card Color Coordinator [guaranteed set every 3 cards]; the Die Envisioning Artificial Randomizer [+1 die roll (only 40% of the time though)]; and the Profile Impersonating Secret Sitter [manages to take turns for other players in the same game, once per 100 rounds]. She calls it the CCC DEAR PISS.

Much thanks to Glide - who showed us one of the first ways to correctly PISS (Steel horse). The only down side to all this additional technology working for me is that my internet connection and central processing unit seem to have slowed due to some worm-like creatures [luckily my skin is impervious to their bite/burrow].

Well, I do suppose there is the other fault. I'm just too darn impatient to wait 100 rounds to utilize my advantage. But, when I get there ...

I must agree with the point that the only real reason to know how multi"s are caught , is so that one can become one. I do not see the point in it however. It would remove the emotional charge of earning your rank the honest way, then getting that crushing feeling overwhelm you when the dice decide to steal 300-400 points from you in a week. Once recovering from that heart wrenching blow of unjustified, (and probably fixed losses)hee hee, one has the thrill and excitement of climbing back up the ranks again, to look forward to.
By creating multi' , you rob yourself of this emotionally charged roller coaster, called Conquer Club.

May the dice gods smile on us all :) :D 8)

ever considered visiting a doctor? a PC should not cause an emotional rollercoaster unless you are hitting it with a hammer.
