The scoring system is its own worst enemy. Conquer Club's best and brightest are neither here nor there. They are nowhere.
So, I challenge them I challenge all those people now holding a rank higher than my LT rank to take me on.
The rules of engagement are simple, each of you fight me for a minimum of 20 games, 2 player, Classic, with cards, unlimited fortifications.
NOT ONE of you will dominate me. Probably, I will kick the asses of approx 2.3 of you, except that Idoubt many of you high rankers are up to the challenge.
So, let's see who is a chickenshit, and who has some cajones
20 games, speed, for each of you. Those not able to play speed, I do that too, so join. You have no excuse.

Because 1v1 speed games offer the best ability to strategies and minimize the impact of the drop right?
I doubt you'll find anybody, as you are pretty much asking them to play 20 games with a lower ranked person that will have a lot of luck involved.

especially with cards involved.
How bout instead of challenging and trashtalking higher ranked members to challenge you in your premium conditions, you face them headon in bigger games and prove that you can survive in the heat of 3 or 4 other people trying to kill you.
btw, why is htis in strategy? I

so far, chickensbhit MOFOs, all of em. We'll see. When I have the Lt rank, I More easily get play from higher ranking people, the majority of whom I dispatch the the graveyard, and the majority of these, well, I dump on with high delight. Because the ranks on CC mean absolutley NOTHING. ONLY A MORON finds evidence of accomplushment in such a rank.
320 games, head to head,on the terms I suggested. NOT ONE of you will survive that challenge, and NOT ONE of you even will take up that challenge. It, again, is open to anyone over the rank of Lt.
dont not get it

I do not propose that I have talent unbelieveable, nor even that I can beat anyone, head to head, at the drop of a hat (which I can and which I have proposed to do). I simply say, rank is BS.
Get used to it. Rank is BS. Everyone on CC who doesn't rise to this challenge and prove me wrong proves my point.

Just lieutenant and up ?
Huh. Some of the best real time players (and just general) players I know around here have lower ranks. Are you afraid to lose to someone lower ranked ?
It seems like once a month or so someone else pops up, calls the top players cowards and demands games, and then slinks off into the woodwork.
Out of curiousity, what's the highest rank/point total you've reached ? You know how hard it is to stay near the top ?!?
(Yes, I feel like I can say this because at one point I was about 25th or so with 2700+ points. I couldn't stay there, though. I do know that some of the guys that stay near the top are damn tough.)

No, everyone with a higher rank that doesnt play you just understands that playing a lower rank in a game with a player thats even close to the same ability is a losing battle. The odds are 50/50, and won points are not 50/50...so theres almost no way to win.
Gaining points is tough... ive lost 1000 on two separate occasions. The only way you can prove the rank is BS, is to gain it... until then, play DBZ in 20 games, and let me know how many points you get out of it.... or clapper, or fireside, or wachica, or countless other players that are awesome who have low ranks because of their scores.
This scoring system is set up as a handicap for inexperienced players to have a chance. If it were flat rate, then the rank would be BS, because those that just played more, would be at the top. As it is, winning percentage is the only way to stay at the top. and players that specialize in no cards, escalating, trips, and dubs, and a combination of all of them have been up there.
But saying its BS, because they dont want to enter into 20 games that will undoubtedly just give you points is just BS.... youre just asking for free points.... No one's going to question that you cant beat them in half of the games, or close enough to half of the games to demolish their points...but it doesnt mean they have to actually give you the points to actually prove the point.
Go get the points yourself if you think its so easy. It just isnt.
and if you think the game is just luck, get 2000 points, enter 20 6 player escalating games against various captains. Then post that its all luck. In 1v1, of course it is, in multi player, luck is only one of many factors.

no. Why? Because you believe that if i dont challenge you then your right. I'm not going to play an ignorant prick to prove his point because then ive fallen down to his level.

If you were really serious about all that "skill" you got let your opponents pick the game not you. after all you got the skills to overcome any adversity

I'll take you up on this. Let's make it 21 games, 2player, classic, escalating, unlimited forts, sequential. My play is better than my score reflects (ask anyone). Let's see how big of a pile of "chickenshit"
you really are.

I think you'll find that almost everyone that's been here for any length of time will agree that Poet is one of the best. And to boot, he's one of the nicest players I've ever had the privilege of being repeatedly mangled by.
The thing is, Dug, that if you want people to play you and you want to see if rank really does mean something or if it's just a flawed scoring system, not acting like you are would probably help your cause. At one point or another, I've played in games with a lot of the top players. The majority have been nice folks out for a good game. Maybe you should PM some of those you wish to play and ask them respectfully for a game...not because they are higher ranked players, but because they are fellow human beings worthy of your respect (until they give you a reason not to respect them).
So, my advice to you of such high and worthy rank, worry about the gameplay. Engage in the callouts forum. You'll get some games against some high ranked players if you want. my real advice, though, is while we all like seeing a nice high rank next to our names, seek the best players regardless of rank. There are all sorts of low ranked players that just play a ton of games and rank doesn't always reflect quality of gameplay.

1 vs 1 has more to do with luck than anything else. I stay away from those.
