How many games are enough?

i currently am playing 159 games at once with 17 sitting around. It takes me about an hour every day to run through these.

Is this a normal amount for you membership paying fellows? How many is a good balance.

I would probably play smarter if there were only 40 games going on instead of 160 but none of the games are real time etc.

Just wanted to know if i'm a freak and need to go outside more.

10 games. I don't think you're a freak and I'm jealous of your amount of spare time.

anymore than 20 is a bit too much. perhaps you need to get out more. but as long as youre having fun and getting a healthy dose of internet porn it you should be fine. ;)

when i first joined i was just sick of playing 4 games and it taking 2 or 3 weeks to finish one. Joined up and did about 100 and lived off of that for the past month. So i just jumped back up today cause i had nothing to do.

i would like to say the biggest advantage of playing this many games is you never really realize how many games you lose

There are a lot of players that have 100+ games. I think it's a bit excessive but if it only takes you an hour to take those many turns; something has to give. For instance, your score , quality of games and or strategy. I can only imagine how difficult that would be to manage. As far as not spending more time outside because of it, I don't see that you're spending much time if it only takes you an hour. If your score isn't suffering then I see nothing wrong with it. The higher rank you achieve the more time it will take for your turns, you can think about lowering your games when that happens.

I average 30-40 games and depending on the turn, it can take up to an hour for one game.

30 is handle-able, if they're all sequential.

(And still play decently, if you have more time, then it increases obviously.)

But at 150, you must feel rushed to make your moves.

I got ~40 running games at once. If i'd play even more, it would be hard to remember what is going on in each game :D

I find your post hard to believe.

The most games I was ever in was 80, and that was during last summer when I had NOTHING going on.

Whenever I logged on to check my turns after I woke up, it took me about an hour and fifteen minutes. I can't imagine checking turns with school and/or a job. In double the games, turns should take at least two hours.

Now I stick with around 30.

no it is real, i'm sure you can search up the games i'm in right now. It does take a good amount of time though.

There is no way i could consistently keep up 160 but at that number i should be good for a little while before i jump it back up. I just get impatient checking and i'm still waiting to atleast take a turn that should take at the most 3 minutes to make decision wise.

No, I believe you, I'm just worried that either you are shortchanging our games or I take WAY too long in my games. Meh.

I always loved it though, because I just opened up Firefox and went down my active games list, and just opening my turns in new tabs using the middle scroll button on my mouse. That was about 50 games in the morning.

I went through and played all my games, then checked for new games. That number was usually around 15. Then it dwindled down to three.

In other words, I had to check my games in tiers.
