in the begining of a game how many of you put all your guys on 1 or 2 territories and wait for the best time to strike and take thier cards to eliminate the next ect... how was the success rate. so far i won all of mine like that

You mean just have one or two big armies instead of spreading yourself out?

(I assume you mean escalating). I sort of do that. Unless there is an obvious small continent available I spread my armies out over a few key territories, build there for the first few rounds and then group them when I sense a chance of elimination

in escalating i just take one 1 a turn until theres a chance for an elimination but even then i dont allow much more than 10 armies on a territory unless all the territories i own have at least 3 on each

the reason i say this is untill a couple of months ago i always tried to get a continent untill i saw someone do this, he stockpilled all his guys on 1 territory so no one would attack him and then waited for the pefect time to strike. i also saw it on 2 territorys so he could reach anyone that was spread out so he could eliminate him. do any of you do this and how was your luck, ive done this a few times and it seems to have a good success rate

Go for the throat, spot potential targets and attack straight out. I like to deploy all my armies on the first go into a single territory that i can gain a continent from quickly. This does depend on the drop mind so study map closley first.

This is certainly a valid and popular escalating strategy, but kep in mind that if you wait to do this and keep all your territories defended your opponents are much more likely to go after the 1s and 2s on the board left over from the people who did try this strategy, leeving you with fewer losses and letting you yourself take advantage of the 1s and 2s dotting the board. Once a few turns have pased you can pile your armies up and be in a better position than your opponents who tried this strategy from the get go.

This stratigy relies on your opponets attacking each other and not realising that you are a threat. In every game I have played where someone did this to any effect I rallied the other people into some peace turns so we can be safe with our superior troop generation.
Its all about reading your opponets, if everyone is focused only on themselfs and maximizing their own teritory then this stratagy shines. However if your opponets are looking for potential threats then you will suffer as they sit back and build up troops. As with all matters in this game it is a RISK but if you can read your opponets you can make an informed decision.
