I don't really have the time to read through the forum.

I paid for a premium account and now it has unregistered me as a premium account holder. I have 20 on going games at the moment. But when I try to start a new game it wont allow me.

Any help?

Maybe you have too many games? Does it say that you can't join because you have too many games? Does it say anything about premium? You should consider contacting the mods and trying to find out what happened

It's because we caught onto you and your 4 multi accounts. The other 4 accounts were inactivated, and you lost your premium as punishment. You should have received an email about it.

Yeah about e-mails. Why is it that people don't get them? I have been banned three times and not once have I received an e-mail

Me too, not a single email.

As a matter of fact, I have yet to find out why I was banned for a week a few months ago.

AK I found my E-mail.

But I still don't see why my premium account was banned.
I haven't played with any of the users of this PC.

Your premium account wasn't banned. We just stripped you of your premium membership as punishment for breaking Rule #1. If you wish to appeal the decision, follow the instructions in your e-mail.

I didn't break rule one or any rule for that matter.

There are no instructions in the E-mail to follow, appealing or anything about appeals in general is not mentioned.
Does the appeal have to be done through the forum?

Yes, through the E-Ticket system. Click the Help tab at the top of the screen, and fill out the form on that page.

I wonder if thats legal?

He paid for a service that cc is now refusing to deliver.

One cannot just 'punish' someone. Why don't you take his PC as punishment?

Stop his multis and reset his points by all means, but cc is legally obliged to provide the service it offered or refund the fee that it charged.

Ive wondered about this as well. Its says in the rules that

"Cheaters detract from the gaming experience of all Conquer Club players, and proactive measures are employed to enforce fair-play. Conquer Club reserves the right to suspend accounts and cancel Premium Memberships, with or without warning, of those players who are deemed to have violated the rules."

I dont doubt that CC is acting legaly but it seems unfair that JrEire has paid for a service he has not recieved. Is there anyone here in the law profession who could give us a legal opinion?

Still, it seems odd that x has paid money for a service he has not recieved. Is there anyone here in teh law profession who could give us a legal opinion?

yes i agree it says in the rules, but those rules are not part of the contract. For it to be part of the contract you would have to click a box when signing for premium which says something like 'I have read the rules and agree to abide by them, and I understand that If I do not then my membership may be revoked without refund'

I'm not a lawyer but I would demand a refund if it were me.

Maybe the mods should be allowed to strip a player of their premium, but in doing so should offer a full refund? I guess this would encourage the mods to think more carefully about how much power they actually have.

In todays world, customer service is a priority to almost all bussinusses. Ultimatly, CC is a bussinus - we are the customers.

<start rant>
I think sometimes, our mods get a little hung up about "breaking rule one" Its not exactly a sin is it? By all means keep the site running smoothly but if someone has handed over their money, they deserve a better answer than "go use the eticket system." We are not dealing with anything more serious here than an online game. The mods are appointed, not elected, and i can't see they have a mandate to take money from JrEire, and offer him nothing in return.
<end rant>

it's perfectly legal.

if i go see a movie i buy a ticket so i pay for a service. but if during the movie i start disturbing the others i will be thrown out with no refund even though i haven't read and accepted any legal contract on not disturbing others.

think of a multi as someone who comes in and throws popcorn at you or starts yelling and pissing on the chairs

i'd definitely kick him out without a refund in fact i'd even fine him.

hmmm...dont think so...Try doing that in england and got a law suit on your hands. You can throw them out but you musr refund their purchase

If you are going to use that analogy, then it would be more akin to one buying a ticket for the cinema then trying to sneak a mate in for free. The mate would be thrown out but you would be allowed to stay.

Your analogy is more akin to the simtoms of this world who go out to deliberately disrupt someone else's enjoyment of the site. I don't think that this applies here.

you're kidding me? you get a refund despite being an idiot?

if i were in england i'd sue the movie theater for not suing the idiot who disturbed me.

I tried to explain my position. But was ignored.

Either way I'm not too bothered now. Everyone one in work who was using the account gave me the 12 euros to buy a new premium. But I still don't agree with the way I was treated. If some one starts another account on the computer, then will I be kicked again?

that defeats the purpose. Someone has premium for 6 months, breaks the rules, gets there money back, reinvests. free premium pritty much.

the mods should refund the money that would still have been used

ie. £10 per year =83p per month

player breaks the rules after 10 months. They recieve £1.66

Only if cc breaks their contract by revoking their membership. Like I said you must not be disruptive, but when you have the right to unlimited games the only reason to have a multi is to manipulate your score - therefore resetting that score would be penalty enough

It is perfectly legal to remove Premium Membership if the player breaks the rule. Lack himself knows some basics in law, and he does know a few lawyers who can advise him on matters. :)

Thanks andy - i don't pretend to know about law but i dont think we expected CC be acting illegally. It more a case of customer service. I quite like cena's idea - that the premium membership would be part-refunded, according to how much time the player had left.
