waiting for people to run out of time.

If you type 'Bananas Foster' into the chat at the bottom of the game screen 100 times, you will get a 50 troop bonus on the next round.

Kurgan,

It's where one player waits until the round it almost over to take their turn, which forces the other player to miss their turn in a 2-person game, or not have enough time to take it. It's a cheap tactic that not many like since it catches many people off-guard.

I have a few games where I could use a bonus, I think I'll go and try it.

Except the "other person" had plenty of time to take their turn
and when they miss their turn they get a 2x bonus.
So what's the rub?

... and isn't a 2 player freestyle game kind of pointless?

No, they didn't get the full time. That's kind of the point. As for double armies, lets say you have Oceania. I wait until there's 5 minutes left before deploying, forcing you to miss your turn, then instantly deploy again and break your continent - thus robbing you of 4 armies (at least) you would possibly hav had.

Nope, it's quite fun actually, when you get a decent opponent.
