Apologies for the Double Post, but I think it is time for a post-mortem now that most of the games are over:
Firstly, it's a great way to figure out which maps are popular and which aren't. Indochina took the longest for people to join, so it's probably the map people think of as the lamest (people are not wrong, it is a pretty lame map).
Secondly, it didn't take much time at all to do. Each turn was about 30 seconds long during the first five rounds (Just capture a territory for a card), and then I was either eliminated or pretty much the winner on the sixth round. Which brings me to my third point: winning.
Winning was a blast. I'd have the map in front of me, check through for the weakest guy, eliminate him, take his cards, eliminate someone else and so on and so forth. Much fun indeed. It took about 5-10 minutes to win from the first card cash.
Fourthly, it's a great way to find new maps to play. The Carribbean map is ownage, and Chinese Checkers is pretty cool, too. Circus Maximus is interesting, but not really for me.
Lastly, the points. I got major amounts of points from this. I think my total point profit for all the games was around 300. Unfortunately, I played a fair lot of speedgames while waiting for turns to come, and lost about 300 points in them. Oh well.
So, in conclusion, this was a rewarding and enriching experience that I recommend you try if you think you have the time. However, I personally am never going to do this again because I already got the most out of it and I'm scared of becoming seriously addicted.
Ask any questions about it and I'll be happy to answer.
My set is a bone coat-of-arms and chandelier! How cool is that?
