how many cards do you have total?? You only get to cash them if you have 5 or more.

You only get the option to trade in cards if eliminating someone gives you 5 or more cards.

Hello, I'm a pure freshman here, have 0 finished games at the moment. I have a related question.
I just finished a move in one game. After destroying a player I completed two sets of cards, in the middle of move. I wanted to:
1) cache one set
2) deploy the units
3) attack further
4) AFTER few attacks (to see how it goes) cache another set
5) deploy a new units
and
6) continue to attack
all in the same move.
I wasn't sure if it's possible, so I cached both sets immediately and finished the move. Obviously, my question is:
Can player destroy some opponent, complete two sets, play one set, attack few times, then play another set and continue to attack?
(of course, all that should be in the same move)
