Who gets "deadbeats" armies? [Answered]

Playing a 3 v 3 and one of our opponents is about ready to deadbeat out.

The first teammate alive on the listed order on the right, so in this case yellow, would get the armies & cards.

This more or less means that the other team will win. Thus, a team-mate deadbeats and gets rewarded for it by getting points. Is this particularly fair?

do you really also get his cards? I dont recall that ever happening? and what would happen if he gets a total of more than 5 cards lol.

yes you do get his cards, if you get more than 5 cards you are forced to cash in a set

Yes, you get the cards. Used to be not that way, but was changed a few months ago. And when you get more then 5 cards this way, you just have to cash in at the start of your next turn.
