I think King of the Hill is a great map. Very innovative.

I'm currently playing 2.1. It's cool with all the territories and partial continental bonuses. And also Antarctica for strategic attacks, but no points. I am yet to play the space level. Another one I like is Middle-Earth.

My favorite map is British Isles. I love smaller maps because the games tend to move along and become less building and more action.

All that being said, my least favorite is World 2.1. :)

Definitely Europe. I love the colours and design. I've played on it 9 times(with different variations of gameplay), won 8, lost 1.

It was also the first map I won on.

My one defeat on it was a doubles game(very early in my CC career), and my partner attacked me at the start, not realising we were teammates. English also wasn't his first language, so he certainly wasn't fluent in it. However I whipped us into shape. In fact we came very close to victory, and had the upper hand at one stage, unfortunately one of the other teams we were up against are what I like to call professional team players. Where in freestyle games they take their turns at the same time. It all came down to the one round, had my partner logged on in time he would have cashed in a top set and we would have wiped out one of their players and been ensured victory. But it was not to be. Alas, that is my one defeat in Europe, but considering the poor circumstances and all the negative factors that I was fighting against I did fucking incredibly well in that game.

If I have to have one blemish in my European record, then I will not exchange the one I have for any other.

Mine would either be Middle Earth or World 2.1.

Middle Earth for the balance and World 2.1 for the shear vastness of it.

On no other map can I creat a eurasion empire only to be broken in shambles take the rest of my broken armies and start a new empire in the americas in 3 turns.

It seems my favorite map is USA. The reason would probably be I've won plenty of games on it both with doubles and 1 v 1 (I've lost plenty too) but in the end I like the playability and figured it was a good one to learn to specialize on in the end.

2.1 what could be better than conquering the world in a world domination game???...and the size really does require strategy, certainly luck can help, but if you play it badly, you will lose, even with a few good rolls of the dice

Classic, for most games.

Australla for 1 vs. 1 and smaller games.

Great Lakes.

Partly because I knew about it before anyone else, partly because it's the only may I seem to be able to win on, and partly because I love conquering ohio.

Siege! Because I can yell at my opponents and teammates using Ye Olde English in the game chat. Just ask Aries or Navyblue4u.

I like Brazil and 8 Thoughts because their game play is most fun.

I find siege terribly confusing but fun. I wouldn't be able to play it without bob.

Classic. No map shall ever reach its level of...class. Or something.

But Middle Earth is fun as well, really good map to play on. I honestly haven't played on that many since I'm pretty new, but I'm trying!

8 Thoughts is also really fun. Just the whole visual aspect of it is appealing. You just can't help but enjoy playing it.

sharrakor's 8 thoughts comment made me feel all warm and fuzzy, lol. I mostly like the bizarre chat it generates. Wish I could think of examples right now.

I don't have a single favorite map, I don't think I could pick just one if I have to.

I would say I really like all of these:

Seige because my dorm plays it on paper that we printed out constantly and I find it almost as enjoyable on the site.

Great Lakes, the balance of the map and the vast array of options. Also probably the best team map on the site in my opinion.

Age of Merchants, so many players make such dumb easily exploitable mistakes. I also love the simple (yes, I said simple) bonus system of only needing a few key places instead of whole continents.

USA, for the same reasons Optimus Prime said.

Indochina, I have no idea why but I just love this map. I think the rebel in me likes it more then it should because so many people really don't like it.
