Frequency of regular auto tournaments

Perhaps the best way of explaining what I am going to ask about is - to make a hypothetical classification of tourneys.

Level A
As soon as a tournament is filled, a new iteration is opened (e.g. after an hour)

Level B
A new iteration begins every k days, regardless of the state of previous iterations (k is small, so a new iteration usually begins before the previous one is completed)

Level C
A new iteration is opened as soon the previous one is completed

Level D
A new iteration begins every n days (n is big, so a new iteration usually begins LONG after the previous one is completed)

Level D1
A new iteration begins n days AFTER the previous one is completed

My English is ugly, but I hope everyone understands. I doubt that all these levels exist, but some of them certainly do.

If a classification of this type exists, I'd very much like to see it published.
I know there are frequent and infrequent tournaments. And I know which ones are frequent and which ones are infrequent. But I am still hungry of specific and detailed information...

So I am inviting officials, as well as experienced players, to contribute (with information). Thank you in advance!

P.S. New World Masters has always been suspiciously rare, in my view. If I am not mistaken, the previous iteration was completed more than two months ago. We still don't have another iteration. WHY?????

New World Masters was not an autotournament. It was a manual tournament in 2009, before autotournaments came along.

If you mean New World Map Masters, like all Map Masters it only iterates for two weeks. New World Map Masters was one of the more popular ones, with nine iterations:
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=autotournament&tournament_id=10261
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=autotournament&tournament_id=10263
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=autotournament&tournament_id=10264
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=autotournament&tournament_id=10267
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=autotournament&tournament_id=10269
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=autotournament&tournament_id=10274
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=autotournament&tournament_id=10279
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=autotournament&tournament_id=10286
https://www.conquerclub.com/player.php?mode=autotournament&tournament_id=10303

Since you can only join one tournament in each map of Map Masters, and you already joined one, even if there was another you couldn't join it.

I do write to Mad from time to time, when I want to ask something very specific. But this issue is of general nature and has very wide significance. EVERYBODY gains with enriching knowledge about auto tournaments.
If Mad sees this thread and enters the discussion (as I hope), he will of course be more useful than many others put together. But the discussion nonetheless remains open for all benevolent participants...

Sorry, I didn't predict a possibility of misunderstanding. I was just too lazy to find the tourney and see the official title.
When I said "New World Masters", I meant "New World 2 Player Masters" (THIS franchise)

It's apparently an auto tournament. The last iteration I know about has been completed more than two months ago. And yet nothing is happening.
This set of facts actually made me to open this thread, but I would really like to learn as much as I can about all auto tournaments...

I understand the desire for public discourse. You can wall / message mad777 to get his attention and draw his view to the thread was the idea.

He’s essentially the auto tournament guru, so he’s likely the only one (besides bigwham who doesn’t post publicly on the forum) who can probably answer this.

I have also wondered about the iterations of different types of auto tournaments. Also wonder about the addition of different maps to auto tournaments, e.g. Eurasia, World 2.1, First Nations Americas, Balkan Peninsula... some larger maps without special gameplay.

I accepted your suggestion intrinsically, but did nothing in the field... Because I FORGOT about this thread...

I just posted on Mad's wall...

Received your post on my wall, not sure what you are trying to suggest…but when I have sometime I will go through your first post again and will attempt to understand…

I’m attending a week long summit at work and won’t have time for CC other than playing my turns…Will try this coming weekend.

I'd like to learn some things, but it's not urgent at all; take your time. Three months, six months, doesn't matter. Better later, but more thoroughly.

Better late than never… :D

The auto tournament generated in this page are managed by bigWham and new iteration comes randomly and based on BW times to bring a new one.

Your idea worth to be submitted to bigWham and perhaps for me trying to get a sort of existing timeline for any auto tournament he did created.

Now, there is also an alternate using this new Forum and in a form of a post like this if a member would like something new. I will then review and create it, I can have new iteration setup as required with the help of bigWham, but this last will depends how quick tournament get filled and player/member losing interest in the setup that was created.

Will come back here once I have update from bigWham.
