Score Resets as Punishments? [Answered]

I was just wondering how the whole score reset thing for people busted as multis or secret alliances went. Say Multi only had a score of 867 or something under 1000, wouldn't a score reset basically reward that person? Or is there another punishment? Just wondering, Thanks everyone!

depending on what has happened there are other punishments they employ....being banned for a certain amount of time...being banned from posting in forums, having your premium stripped from you.....there are many punishments for cheating and abuse of the forums

That was a special case. For secret alliances, they generally block the people from playing. For multis, they ban the accounts until they buy a premium.

a "score reset" is used when players cheat to improve their score. Their score is than reset to what it was before the player was caught cheating.

secret alliances are just blocked from playing with each other

multis are banned from the site...thank the admins

im sure Iceman can explain it better

A score reset is actually where you return to 1000, but they wouldn't do it for someone under 1000. The rest are best explained by hecter.

The first sentence above is Correct. The second sentence is Incorrect. Score resets are always to 1000, if the player has a score over 1000. Score resets are not done if the player's score is under 1000.

Yes, but since there were conflicting answers, I wanted to make sure a mod answered "officially".

a reset to 1,000 is not really a punishment. you just win more points per game and a week later your right back to the same amount of points.
