Anybody else think it strange that all of the other players in that game were created exactly the same day (June 17th) from supposedly different countries in the world and all joined the same game and all deadbeated equally?

It was also the first game for each of those players.

Something smells very fishy here. Let me do some more checking.....

Hmm... no other connection than that. Those players are not in other games together. I'll leave it to the multi-hunters to figure this one out.

it was reported, hundreds of ppl register on CC everyday and most deadbeat, it just happens that they all joined this game.

how could I fake other countries? Even if I could fake other countries, that means there is nothing the moderators could do to prove that I was a multi since it appears to them that they are coming from different countries.

Easy.... if you have a proxy server from another country, the IP address shows as from that country. Though it would require having proxy servers from 5 different countries, so, I guess, it is unlikely.

As I said in "Cheating and Abuse Reports", if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Just seemed extremely strange that me that 5 newbies all joined CC on the same day and all joined your game which they all deadbeated. Statistically, very improbable.

The moderators cleared you. Then I guess I'm wrong.

i just read the subject ...but its weird how i find that some1 else have really took it srsly and put it in cheating and abuse ....i was joking for the records and i wasnt approving with sir titus at all

Yeah, they do. For example, in Thailand, certain types of websites are banned by the government (porn, gambling, YouTube, to name some) so you can't access those kind of sites when you use a computer from Thailand. The Thai IP address is registered and the site you want is blocked.

Now, if I had a Canadian proxy server, for example, I could view those sites because the IP address registers as from Canada. So, with a Canadian proxy server, I can view all the porn (for example) I'd like from Thailand. It's as if my internet connection originated from Canada (as that's where the IP address originates).

So, with such a proxy, I can create a new CC account (Username: Sir Titus is a Cheater), make a 2 player game with my Thai IP address, join the game with Sir Titus is a Cheater, beat myself and get the points. Repeat until I'm a Field Marshall.

Sir Titus's IP address = Thailand
Sir Titus is a Cheater's IP address = Canada.

Two different usernames. Two different IP addresses. Same person but can't be proven. I could run one IP address on Firefox and the other on IE at the same time. Hell, I could play freestyle against myself. Wouldn't that be fun!

They can still bust you with proxies. They've done it before.

interesting....so how are people who do this busted??? Do they just trace it back to a proxy and assume it is a double. How do they know WHO is using the proxy? Maybe it is someone who wants to deadbeat in games to piss people off and make them go much slower.

I'm in a game with three new recruits and it says they all joined on the same day, and they've all missed a turn so far. I'm hoping they don't come back either so I can get the easy points

Really easy points is what I'm hoping for... conversely though if any of them beat me I stand to lose about 33 points and only win about 60.
