I generally don't auto attack unless I have a 2 - 1 advantage over the target. For small numbers, the potential losses are acceptable. For medium numbers, the losses are generally reasonable. For large numbers, I have never seen the dice roller fail that badly.

Probably a little too often. Still maybe less than half the times I have a big enough stack for it.

Auto anytime the stack is over 9-10 and I for sure need to advance. Honestly I feel I win more often and by a bigger margin using Auto, though it might be my imagination.

Though i don't know anything about programming, I still think a autoassult button with a few filters would be amazing and really speed up my turn taking... things like attack till I only have 50 troops or less, or 'attack opponent down to 2 but dont take the territ'. I can't tell you how many clicks that second one would have saved me over the years.

I'm here for a far too long time and I've learnt a lot about statistics. But the thing I learnt the most, is that I don't really care about this game very much and that whenever it seems like a good idea, I will auto, just because it's a lot faster than clicking. My theory (please don't try to correct me on this, it's not necesarry) is that it'll even out in the end, so I feel no regrets. I'll do anything to win (break truces, be unethical, no problem), but I wouldn't attack 100 troops with 150 without auto-attacking if I'd get paid for it.
It just takes too long for my liking! If I wanted to play a game that takes long, I'd play another game, because there are plenty.

I used to feel I always did worse on auto, but more recently i have started thinking its about fair. Not to say that its not wildly volatile with seemingly crazy results, but I think that I win about the same number of crazy rolls as I lose.

This would be great, particularly in some of those large army games where you might have 1500 against your opponents 1200 and you want to see how it goes without getting an RSI injury or finding out that you lost 1498 to kill 500

Yeah now since i said auto roll is ok, I have been nothing but the arse end of the stick from my supposed friend!

since i joined cc i always loved and played auto-attack.i know sometimes its not optimal play, but i cant stand nibbling at someones stake and it turns wrong.The chance is that you stop too early with the attack if you dont auto-attack

No never auto. And everytime you do the dice gods will surely decide to punih u for som unknown reason!

This. If I have anything greater than a 4 to 5 disadvantage. That auto button overturns the odds.
