quick question.. in a game recently, me and another new player agreed on a peaceful border. unsure of the rules of those agreements, we announced it in chat, and asked if any other players knew if the announcement was required, or if we had just given away info that would have been better if it was kept secret

nobody responded to tell us if we would have been allowed to keep quiet about it.

so i ask here... what are the rules about private agreements between players in a game?

Any form of collusion between opponents must be announced beforehand in the game chat, in English or in a language all players understand. Secret alliances are hard to prove, but if you suspect one please leave negative feedback to the members in question. Should enough people have the same suspicion, we will take corrective action against the individual(s).
seems like a secret alliance is a BAD thing

i read that part of the rules as referring to two ppl who go into a game planning on working together. but if it applies to treaties formed during a game, then im glad we decided to announce it...
