How to begin [Outdated]

I am coming to this site after playing on Global Combat. Some of you may be familiar with it. It was a once great site that has fallen into such disarray that former administrators are now cheating.

While I am new to Conquer Club, I am familiar with risk type games.

I have started my first game and cannot figure out how to make a move. On my old site you clicked the country you wanted to attack or transfer from.

Could someone explain to me how to begin? Once I know that I should be able to pick up the strategies quickly.

Thanks for your help.

We don't have clickable maps yet, but they are on the to-do list.

We have dropdown menus underneath the maps, and you select which country you want to attack/fortify from, and which country you want to attack/fortify to, then click the appropriate attack/fortify button. When your done attacking, hit End Attacks, when your done forting hit End Forts and that will also end your turn.

The Instructions tab at the top of the screen explains all the game and card types pretty well if you want to check that out.

I think I have it figured out.

Could anyone explain the way fortification works? Can I only make one fortification per turn?

Depends what settings your game is.

Can be unlimited (move as many troops as you like from connected territories) adjacent (as many from one territory to an adjacent one) or Chained (as many from one terratory to one other that is connected through territories you own).

I would advise sticking to unlimited if you're not used to the other settings - I still mostly avoid adjacent and chained games
