Automatic troop deployment bug

Has anyone ever started a game and had automatic troop deployment give one player an entire continent in round 1? Well I just have. I just joined a 3-man game on the Classic map and the game started with one player being given all of South America.

I want to be clear that I am not mad or calling BS or anything. This game is casual and auto deployment is what it is. I do think, however, that the issue is worth looking in to coding-wise. If this were a high stakes match, I would not be so chill about this. Just thought I would point it out as an odd quirk. Something to consider for the folks in charge.

The game is #15599970.

Thanks!

I had my opponent drop a bonus once. When I said here that it was not fair I was told that it was just bad luck on my part and good luck on my opponent. It sure is annoying when it happens to you but it's not a bug. :)

It happens. It's far worse when that person goes first :(
BTW, this is how you link to a game:

There are many maps which are designed to be more balanced from round 1, and they usually have starting positions.

Feudal War is possibly the simplest example. You'll start off with only 1 or 2 castles, just like everybody else. Which ones you get are random, but they all have roughly the same surroundings, and proximity to villages/other castles, though with their own nuances too!

Same is true for Kings Court, Middle Ages (mostly), Antarctica, Age of Realms, City Mogul, Lunar War and many more.

Otherwise, yeah, drops can be a very mixed bag. Sometimes your opponent will drop a bonus, sometimes you will. Some maps have features with minimise this initial chance at striking gold, and other times you can mix and match settings/maps which seem more balanced. But at the end of the day, CC is a game which heavily utilises luck and chance, and if you don't like that then I'm told you can play chess on this site somewhere.
