21 cards, 7 cash-in test - [Complete]

Postby AK_iceman on Tue Jun 05, 2007 10:12 pm

This scenario has come up several times in the forum but has never been utilized in a game. I just thought it would be easier to explain the situation if it had been done before, so 6 players have now set about the task of getting a 21 card, 7 cash-in, all at once. It's the ultimate in card-playing scenarios and will require precise timing, coordination, and skill to achieve.

Hehe, I'm just messing around. I'm interested to see if we can do it, and that's about it. This thread's just to coordinate the actions in game so we only have to attempt this once.

But for those interested in watching, the game # is 486271.
Myself, sully800, ptlowe, maniacmath17, Scott-Land, and Kid_A are the willing guinea pigs for this experiment.

If you timed it right, couldnt everyone have 5, and you have 4 on deck. Making for more than 21?

Would be intense.

No, because once you have 5 or more, you can't attack until you cash-in.

Too bad you won't actually be able to do the cashing, because the game would be over.

And because it is sequential, once person B eliminates person A, person B will have to run out of time.

So that means it will be quite easy. All the remaining players have to do is sit and build up a mass amount of armies while anyone with 5+ cards begins turn and runs out of time. Eventually you all will have the armies to eliminate somebody and then start your "running out of time" turns until the last person who is building up armies decides to finish the game.

This doesn't have to happen in round 5. The person who is going to win can cash in a set or 2 and start taking everything but the 1 terr everyone owns, and build armies for the mass takeover.

This probably isn't coherent to anybody else, butin short I really don't think it's that hard.
This game was once fun, but the necessity to log in every day finally took its toll on me.

I'll be able to cash 7 times. If I were to eliminate the last player I would have 25 cards, but the game would be over. 21 is totally doable.

Eh 24 cards are doable in a 6 player game.
first 5 players get 5 cards, 6th player has 4 cards, and kills #1, cash in cards, #2 ect ect. Till the (one before)last player, thats a total of 24 cards, 4 times 5 cards, your 4, and the player with 5 cards remaining..
Is that kinda what you are looking for?

eh so tops you“d be able to cash in 8 sets, if you are lucky.. 7 at the least

Nah, I'm looking to have 21 cards in my hand at the same time. And then cashing them all in a row.

Are you sure you do not have to cash in cards once you get over 5? I mean 21 in one turn, thats possible, but 21 at the same time, thats not, or so I thought

Are you going to let everybody kill eachother one by one and not cashing in their cards? thats leading to 21, ah now i get it.

1 (5 cards) gets killed by 2 (4+5=9) (and thats player lets hit time run out so he does not have to cash in, nor does he get a card extra) 2 gets killed by 3 (14) gets killed by 4(18) gets killed by 5( 22).
To not end the game and still cash in, thats how its going down.
But you need a bit of luck to get 7 sets

If you simply want cards during your turn, well thats a whole lot easyer

Is Battle Royal freestyle? imagine the amount of cards one could accumulate there.

Yes, it's freestyle. I think nobody wants to play a 113-player game Sequential. Then you have to wait a month (or longer) for your turn.

player 1 - 4
player 2 - 5
player 3 - 4
player 4 - 4
player 5 - 4
palyer 6 - 4

acctually it would be possible in a normal 6 player freestyle. Everyone gets into teh position of having four cards, except 1 who has 5. The first palyer takes teh player with 5 cards(5+4=9) That palyer doesnt end there turn and the next palyer starts take out the palyer with 9 cards (13).again, he doesnt end his turn and lets the next player take him out. continue the process till there is 2 players left and one will ahve 21 cards.

Six player game, player 1 finishes turn (has 5 cards). Player two has four cards and attacks/kills player 1 then misses the rest of his turn (9 cards). Same thing happens for the next 3 players, leaving player 5 with 21 cards. Player 6 has four cards and attacks/kills player 5. Player 6 wins the game with a grand total of 25 cards.

Where have my calculations gone wrong??
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?

Here's a question...

It's 5 for 1 set... 8 for 2 sets... what are the guarantees beyond that for...

3 sets?
4 sets?
5 sets?
6 sets?
7 sets?

I suspect it goes...

11
14
17
20
23

But does it?

We'll be communicating the colors of our cards to ensure that we'll have 7 sets to cash.

Your calculations are right, you just don't understand what we are doing.

Someone can HOLD 25 cards at once, but they can't cash them because the game is already over. To cash in, 2 people must still be alive, which is why the maximum number of cards youd be able to cash is 21. Beyond just getting to the position of 4,5,4,4,4,4 and organizing the attacks we also have to make sure those 21 cards yield 7 sets.
