Advancing troops force into rounded numbers

I don't understand why I can no longer advance as many troops as I prefer when the troop count gets higher.

So I have 3215 troops, and take an adjoining territory. I take it and go to select how many troops to move forward. It will only allow 0, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, 2000...etc....

Why the hell cannot I not advance 1200, or 1250, or 1234, or any amount if I wanted? I don't get it.... It does this for reinforcements as well.

One of the issues that came up was people were experiencing lag with large troop numbers. We found that providing everyone 99,999 options was actually a sizable drag on the system and causing people to not be able to play the game as browsers/computers would freeze up.
Scaling the options available helped to reduce the issues people were encountering both on the user end and on the system wide lag end.

Then the scales could use some finer grade adjusting. Being stuck with 1000 or 2000 as the only option when I want to split my 3000 in half is not very suitable. I'm sure you could add a little more for this option - should really not be hard to do every 25 maybe. Would still be 24 times less options.
