Log off timer

Ive been trying to have a conversation in a forum. And when I come up with ideas for a very intricate discussion it sometimes takes me a while to formulate my ideas and describe them properly. Then when i go to hit post it takes me back to the log in page and all of the hard work is gone. Is there an easy way to fix this or have a pop up tell me that I will have to re-log in before all of the information I just typed out is turned completely blank?

Or is there a setting where I can stay logged in for longer than the default?

Thanks

Just, one thing I do in cases like this is compose a reply in Word or some other word processor. I sometimes have to write up reports for the SoC or create a new post for training purposes, and it's pretty frustrating to spend all that time composing something and then lose it all, so I write it up first in Word and then copy and paste it.

I have gotten used to it and I copy my text before I click "submit". In general though, I would say that this log off feature is irritating, although I guess there is some reason the developers have created it
