quickest way to #1 - bullet proof method

i was just thinking of the easiest way to get to #1. put all the players on your ignore list except for your friends. then they do the same thing. after that take turns in waiting for the BR. make sure you or at least one of your friends is online and quickly join. after that just spread the word to your friends and BR is ready to start. perfect.

now all your players work for the common goal of giving you their points.

at the end you're sure to get a few thousand points and reach #1. since everybody is working for you the game will be over soon. next battle royale is about to start. repeat the same thing and help another player reach number 1. soon there will be roughly 100+ people with scores over 3000.

PS: i'm just joking here but this is totally possible because of the ignore list. so that's why i'm suggesting the ignore list restrictions should be lifted for the battle royale only.

I'm pretty sure that if this happened, I would block all the users from playing together and reset the points of the winner.

guys you're missiong the point of my post. the PS was the important part.

plus i really don't see any reason for banning somebody if he did this  it's totally inside the rules.

not to mention some people were left outside of the BR because they were on ignore lists. was it intentional? should we ban the people in BR that have somebody on ignore?

I thought you were going to say - only play 2 player terminator games - if you have a bad drop deadbeat and you wont lose any points, because it is terminator and another player didn't eliminate you.

I hope there are safeguards to this kind of potential abuse :) I don't actually see the point of making terminator and assassin options available for 2 player games?

not nice because baning and taking away points is not legal in this case. it's not against the rules to do such a thing.

and second, i'm not trying to plant bugs. the bug is already here and i just thought this would be a nice way to report it.

good point. here's another kind of exploit that should be avoided.

That’s just a pyramid scheme, you would need constant amounts of new recruits to "gift" the points to the player who is to be number one. Otherwise the points you all have will just keep being redistributed - not increased (unless in a BR there's bonus points up for grabs - I've not played in one).

Has anyone mentioned the fact that this whole thing is based on putting over 18,000 people on your ignore list? That would seem to be a bit of a hassle?

Just thought I'd mention it.

So basically an unnecessarily complicated and controversial solution as opposed to an easy and uncontroversial one that has already been suggested?

I get the feeling some mods need to rethink their decisions before telling everyone about them. Having people on ones ignore list is not against the rules, having 18k people on your ignore list is also not against the rules, watching for a certain game to start is not against the rules, joining this game is not against the rules, people playing in an exceptionally stupid way so another player wins is not against the rules (in fact it happens all the time). Nothing there is against the rules. It's just that it's extremely unsportsmanlike. Abusing the system? Hardly, what's not forbidden is implicitly allowed. The system cannot be abused. Like factual double turns in freestyle for example. Whenever someone complains about them they're told to toughen up and that "it's freestyle, live with it".
If you don't want this to happen make sure that it CAN'T happen. But don't let it happen and then try to change it.

you should be able to beat a player who's not playing within 3 rounds - I'm about to beat Kid A inside 3 rounds and he's actually playing! (Although the dice ARE helping me a lot  )

Edit: fell one army short :( guess it'll be 4 rounds then

I'm sorry but read the first post again please. DiM suggested that all the players in the BR would be friends due to the ignore list scheme, and to quote DiM...
DiM wrote:at the end you're sure to get a few thousand points and reach #1 since everybody is working for you
This is a certain secret alliance between these friends and therefore they would be blocked from playing together again. And in this last update lack mentioned that if people cheat to raise their scores a considerable amount then we can reset their scores.

Please pay attention next time.

it's not a secret alliance. it can be announced in game chat but it really does not have to. i've seen players that did everything in their powers to lose (simtom case). what would be wrong if 100 players decided to lose BR? again not any rule breaking and since it's not cheating i don't see how a score reset can be enforced. i join and i want to lose and so do another 100 players. by "pure coincidence" only one wants to win. it can't be proved it's a conspiracy. so why not simply remove the ignore list for BR.
