Attack versus Defense

How come it is quite common to experience 7 attacking armies lose against 3 defenders (or what have you), but you never experience the opposite (3 attackers beating 7 defenders)?

Since I routinely get screwed by the dice in this game (as does everyone, I know), I decided to try this tactic (3 attacking 7) on occasion, figuring it would happen roughly as often as the opposite (7 losing against 3), but it never happens!

The numbers don't matter as I've tried 2 against 4, 6 against 9, and other combinations. It never works. But there is not a person who plays CC consistently that won't have 156,345 examples of the opposite happening to them (losing 4 against 2, or 9 versus 6, or whatever).

It's easier to remember the bad beats.

Trust me, the dice are truly random and they do even out in the long run. The good and bad streaks are all a part of the randomness.

Btw, when you attack with 3 armies or less, the odds of winning go way down since you're not using all 3 attacker dice.

Just yesterday I took out 10 defenders while attacking with just 5. The other thing you need to remember is that more often than not it is not worth the risk to attack with less armies, 3 vs. 7 is a really bad example since you do not even have the statistical advantage (2 vs. 2 where tie goes to defender). If you were to track the number of times that say 20 armies takes out a set of 7 while only losing 2 or less I think that you would find it happens quite often.
