Lack has 6233 posts. I have 2437 (which is less than the number of games I have completed unbelievably).

This gives me a score of .391; I am not quite half the turtle lackattack is.

AndyDufresne has 24458 giving him a score of 3.924!

Congratulations to Andy, who finally surpassed Blitz's record posts of 23052 (L=3.698) around this time last year.

Except I'm not sure if that counts all the top-secret posts that were purged when they cleaned the database. I also doubt it counts the Flame Wars posts (since those are now gone too).

I sometimes wonder how your mind works DY.

I think posts in archived forums (a la Flame Wars) still count -- or at least, they used to.

Problem is that post count only counts your public posts. So someone like lack that has a ton of posts in the HQ would probably have quite a few more. Have one of the mods do an advanced search for posts authored by lack and see how many turn up. I'm guessing that 6 years of posting in HQ probably adds up to a lot.

Almost everything from 2006-10 was deleted, which is why I could never finish my research on the early forum name changing protocol.

I believe it's the opposite actually. I can only see 4000 of his 6k posts. search.php?author_id=3&sr=posts

DY actually gives me 7k when I check his posts, but thats because OT is I think the only places where posts aren't counted

I mean in the common room, I Might have the dates mixed up, but iirc, it ends at 2010. They were moved to an archive. That archive was then deleted (at the same time Flame Wars was deleted).

Blake could explain it better.

I'm confused, cuz I could've sworn that recently OT posts got counted. I now have no idea what the rules are.

Here's an idea. Can you see your posts from that era? I might still be stored on a per-user basis.

I came to TeamCC in late 2008/early 2009, so my earliest personal post there was Mar 31, 2009.

Is that before or after the archiving?

Go to the very last post of the common room. That will give you the approx. archive date.

Hmmm ... well my profile shows 3500 posts, but when I search myself I get 3900. I'm not sure how it all breaks down but here goes:

Posts in Common Room/Sugg HQ: unknown because no longer a mod
Posts in my clan: 1276
Posts in Beta testers: 266
Posts in Information: 348
Posts in General: 2072

I'm not really sure what's going on here. Maybe it counts public posts not including OT, counts posts to TeamCC and does not count private posts (in my case to clan). I guess that would work out about right, but I have no clue how many posts I made in TeamCC

Team forums count, clans/OT/mafia do not.

I have 8525 posts that count, and 10524 total. (Probably less than 100 in clan and mafia, so about 1900 in OT.)

so it looks like maybe my clan posts and my beta tester posts are the ones that don't count? So that would mean that DY was right and lack only had 2400 posts in addition to whatever was deleted whenever that was. That doesn't seem like a lot.
