I want to know why I can not play every map in the bot format. There are boards I am not familiar with and instead of getting my ass beat by a human I want to practice against a bot first. It is very annoying it would also be nice to add some sort of rookie battle setup to fight someone who is fairly new to the site like myself and is still learning the boards.

Some maps have objectives in them to win, the bot has not been programmed to understand these. that is why they are currently unavailable to play.

just a very brief and quick rundown.

Since late August we have had a new owner (bigWham) here at CC, before that the site stagnated for too many years.
bigWham has been working tirelessly since he purchased the site making many changes and fixes. the bots only started playing not long before you joined.

I am sure it is bigWhams intention to add the other maps with objectives to the bots in the future, but in the short term there are other priorities, fixes and additions.

Thanks for clearing this up, TeeGee! I was curious about this also. I got a newsletter last week, I guess, and I came back to see what was new. It had been ages since I was on the site last, and I never saw the bots before. There are a few maps I'd love to try out with them, but I saw that they weren't available just yet.
