(Probable) n00b question

Today i reached the point where i can join team games, and I am in my first Triples game.

I was wondering whether it's possible to make an ally of say 3 players, and compete in Triples together. Does the Secret Alliance rule count in Triples? The way i see it is at the moment is that the first 3 signups are Team1, and the last 3 are Team2.

Maybe if the above isn't available for public play, but instead for tournaments, i think it would be an excellent addition.

This may already be possible although i haven't been able to find it in the rules yet.

I mean like official teams. Where in other games theres "clans".

How do people go about getting on the same team in doubles/triples ?

Once you get to know someone (or perhaps you just ask a veteran if they would like to play with you) you just plan to join together.

If you're playing in a private game thats simple, because you can all join on the same team and then invite others to play against you. That way good teams can purposefully face each other, and its quite common. But many people don't want to have to invite their opponents so they create open games....to do that with specific team members you would have to make sure you are all online together so you can join right away and be on the same team.

Its also useful to note that lack is intending to improver the system so a game can go from being private to public. That way all of your teammates can join and be assured they are on the same team, and once that is completed the game becomes public and anyone can face you.

or if its not a private game, get someone that you know on IM, probably one of your friends (if you have any).

then just IM your friend the game number and you can both join it at the same time.
